A low-risk first session

  1. Use the official itch.io page. Do not download an unofficial “free full game,” mobile APK or “latest update” executable from a comment or mirror.
  2. Run the free demo before paying. Confirm the intended microphone opens, the input meter moves and a short sample is audible.
  3. Simplify the audio path. Start with one ordinary input and stereo output before adding surround sound, virtual cables or Discord routing.
  4. Load one small pack. Five to ten known-good clips are easier to diagnose than a large mixed archive.
  5. Finish one solo round. Only add local players, Twitch chat or a long Dub scene after recording and playback work.

Answers that can change with the game version

The Choicer Voicer is an alpha, so file names, menus and platform plans can change. Re-check the date and version at the top of the exact guide you use. In particular:

  • A developer test build is not automatically newer or safer than the current public download.
  • The 44.1 kHz, one- or two-channel microphone change is a community-reported workaround with mixed results, not a guaranteed official fix.
  • GameBanana is a third-party community hub. A structurally valid pack is not automatically malware-free or copyright-safe.
  • Saved Dub Mode results depend on the original pack video and timing metadata; they are not ordinary standalone video exports.
