Addressed in v1.0.009r
The developer's first patch announcement lists the following items:
- How Did I Do It and Frugal achievements unlocking early
- Platinum partner achievement
- Guitar Legend and MyPod firmware updates
- Inventory unavailable in competition mode
- IDM device disassembly error
- Mail tab not indicating new emails
- Some ultrawide disassembly problems
- Some gadgets stuck in the sonic bath
- Eggotchi, Goman, and Brick Game bugs
“Listed as fixed” means the developer included the item in the announcement. It does not prove every old save is repaired or that a differently worded symptom has the same cause.
Current community reports
Recent Steam technical topics include Hacking 101, painting and Airbrush, an item stuck in the ultrasonic bath, Guitar firmware after the patch, crashes, missing story progress, extra Atari 2600 bolts, and high RAM usage after saving.
These are player reports, not verified universal bugs or guaranteed fixes.
Safe first checks
- Check the version. Compare it with the official patch page.
- Name the exact symptom. Record the device, quest, or mail state.
- Preserve the save. Reload only when reversible.
- Check the relevant state. Inspect device, inventory, mail, order, mode, or display.
- Capture evidence. Keep a screenshot or short video with the version visible.
- Re-check official channels. A newer patch can replace the advice.
Symptom triage
Firmware will not update
Confirm the build and whether the affected item is Guitar Legend or MyPod. Both appear in the official patch list, while a current forum title suggests some players may still see symptoms.
Stuck in the sonic or ultrasonic bath
Update first, then try a reversible reload. Record the gadget, bath state, and whether the item can still be selected.
Airbrush or painting does not work
Official posts describe the Airbrush and colour palettes as features. Check whether the tool or palette is unlocked in your save, then capture the device and UI state.
Extra bolts after Atari 2600 assembly
This appears in a community report. It is not an official statement that every Atari assembly has extra bolts.
Crash or unusually high RAM use
Record the system, display, save timing, and preceding action. A report is a lead, not a diagnosis.
Issue report template
- Issue title, device or mode, and exact preceding step.
- Game version, operating system, and display setup.
- What the UI showed and how often it reproduces.
- Whether a reversible reload changed the result.
- Screenshot or video and related official patch note.
